The University's Regional Recruiter for the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland areas is Elizabeth Dugas. Elizabeth visits local high schools, represents UA at college fairs, and assists students and parents with admissions matters. She can be reached at 703-307-6739 or elizabeth.dugas@ua.edu. Feel free to contact Elizabeth at any time with any questions or concerns regarding UA or the application process. Her current visit and college fair schedule is posted here: http://gobama.ua.edu/staff/counselor.cfm?id=31.
To apply for admission, go to http://apply.ua.edu/. The University has rolling admissions, meaning that there are no absolute application deadlines or notification dates. Applications are reviewed as they are received, with admission offers typically being extended two to six weeks after receipt of the completed application and required materials. Students with at least a GPA of 3.0 and an SAT of 950 (Math and Critical Reading only) or ACT of 20 are typically offered admission. Students with lower scores are also encouraged to apply, although admission decisions may take significantly longer.
Information regarding all aspects of the admissions process is available here: http://gobama.ua.edu/. You can contact the Undergraduate Admissions office at:

Each year, the National Capital Chapter hosts the annual Bama Bound BBQ. This event is typically held on the last Saturday in July, and it is the Chapter's opportunity to send the new students from the DC metropolitan area off to Tuscaloosa. All alumni, friends, family, and prospective students are welcome to attend.
Thank you for your interest in The University of Alabama. Good luck and Roll Tide!
